Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to record my workouts?

It is not required to record yourself working out. It is recommended because of the benefits it can provide. A fundamental part of my role is to assess your movement. Seeing how you move increases my precision in creating a program that is right for you as an individual. Recording your movements also provides YOU with proof of your efforts and your progress. Your journey is worth capturing and celebrating.

What if I have limited workout experience?

No experience is needed. Our bodies are designed to move and adapt to the messages it receives. Movement is for every body and it’s my role as a CPT to create a program that’s appropriate for where you’re at in your journey. My goals is to give you a strong base to build from.

What if I don't have access to a gym or a lot of equipment?

Our bodies can be strengthened without the use of any external equipment and my goal is to work with what you have access to. Before asking for any commitment from you, I will ask about where you will be working out and what you have access too. I may make a couple of low cost recommendations if I feel they will be useful to you.

What does nutritional guidance look like?

While I am not licensed to prescribe individualized food plans aimed at treating medical conditions, I can provide general nutrition guidance. If you do not have a medical condition that requires the direction of a registered dietitian or nutritionist, I can help you discover foods that will fuel you. I aim to provide you with information that will empower you to make helpful nutrition choices, and to give you ideas that best suite your lifestyle and your desired goals. If you decide to work with me, one of the first things I will ask for is a list of the foods you eat frequently and I will work with you to find alternatives (if needed) to maximize your nutrition intake.

How do I get started?

First, we will gain clarity before any commitment. This is a financial investment on your end, and we will start with an opportunity to have your concerns addressed without any obligation. If you decide that I am the right coach for you, I will need an opportunity to understand your context better so I will send you some questionnaires to help me create your programming. Once I have the answers I need and a signed legal waiver, I will create an account for you through the TruCoach app and we will get started!

What is your training philosophy?

Our bodies are designed for movement, and I think training aimed at maximizing the benefits of the design will be sufficient in helping an individual achieve their goals and will enhance their overall quality of life. As I coach, I aim to provide you with insight about the human body, movement, and nutrition that you will be able to utilize for the long term. I think familiarizing ourselves with the bodies we live in is key to optimizing our experience with them.
